Introducing Frisco Chiropractor Dr. Christopher Plate

Thank you for visiting our webpage.  I am very excited to be practicing here in the Frisco and surrounding areas.  I love the people and community of Frisco and look forward to serving this great area for years and years to come.  We have a variety of services and technologies to help serve your wellness needs.

Have you ever heard the saying, "If I had only known then what I know now"? That is the saying that comes to mind after I help improve some one's health or condition. "Why didn't I try this before?", they say. I help empower the patient to help assist in their own health and well-being.  It is my passion to educate and to make the patient understand, in simple terms, their own health condition and work together towards their individual goal of making their health better.

I have always been interested in Anatomy and Physiology and how things works within the body. After my undergraduate studies, I had the privilege of hearing Jim Parker speak about Chiropractic. Jim Parker is the founder of Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas. I remember an incredible feeling of "this is what need to do with my life". I am very lucky to have the opportunity to serve in my community in this way that I do.

As I mentioned, I received my degrees in Biology and Kinesiology during my undergraduate studies at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. After that, I completed more undergraduate studies before going to Parker College of Chiropractic and graduating in 1999. I have had the honor of being taught under some great Chiropractic instructors. With each instructor, I have taken their techniques and experiences and carried a portion of their teachings with me in practice.

Thanks for visiting our site. I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you. Give our office a call, or email me using the link below and let’s arrange a time to explore your options.

Dr. Christopher Asks some important questions of interest to Frisco residents - Chiropractor Frisco Dr. Christopher Asks...

Why is a "slipped disc" unlikely?
Separating each spinal vertebra is a disc. Its fibrous outer ring holds in a jelly-like material. Because of the way a disc attaches to the spinal bones above and below it, it can't actually "slip." However, a disc can bulge, tear, herniate, thin and collapse. But it can't slip.
Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
